On Monday the 2nd, Professor Carlos Caetano Biscainho took part in a roundtable on Galician theatre in Argentina with a talk titled “A base de datos do teatro galego (1936-1973) en Bos Aires”.
The event aimed to explore the recent resurgence of Galician theatrical monologues in the Argentine capital between 2023 and 2024—an unexpected success that reached beyond the Galician immigrant community. The roundtable brought together scholars and theatre professionals to reflect on the continuity and transformation of this tradition, which began in the early 20th century with migration and enriched by later generations.
