The volume Universo Cantigas. I. Cantigas de Amor, by Manuel Ferreiro (coord.), Mariña Arbor Aldea, Bieito Arias Freixedo, and Leticia Eirín, has just been published in recent days. It was released by the Publications Service of the University of A Coruña.
The work presents an edition of the 704 Galician-Portuguese cantigas de amor transmitted through medieval songbooks.
Each critical text is accompanied by a modern Galician paraphrase, along with references to the manuscript sources, existing previous editions, and a QR code linking each poem to its full digital edition on the Universo Cantigas website (https://universocantigas.gal), offering an enriched and accessible experience.
Universo Cantigas is a project developed by the ILLA research group (Investigación Lingüística e Literaria Galega) at the University of A Coruña funded by the MICIU (Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación e Universidades).
