Didáctica da lingua e novos soportes comunicativos explores the didactic potential of SMS language in relation to language and literature learning. The author, Estefanía Mosquera Castro, argues that students are more motivated and learn more effectively when encouraged to express their own ideas and engage with the subject matter. The book contains a number of interesting ideas in relation to language learning (connectors, punctuation, spelling), while its approach to literature is spontaneous to the point of transgressive, dispensing with the traditional categories of genre, and embracing a more ambiguous, ironic, playful attitude to the subject.
