The Emeritus Professor at UDC and member of Grupo ILLA Xosé Ramón Freixeira Mato has just published the book Unha amizade con Ferrol ao fondo. Correspondencia entre Carvalho Calero e Tomás Barros (1947-1983).
The book, edited by the Clube the Prensa de Ferrol, consists of an introductory study and the transcription of 132 letters between those two personalities of the Galician culture of the second half of the 20th century. 72 of those letters were written by Carvalho and 60 were written by Barros. Those letters are, essentially, about their own literary production and about the journals Aturuxo and Nordés, which were promoted by Barroswith the advice and collaboration of Carvalho. Moreover, these letters are also about their respectives personal and professional careers.
There is also a detailed system of explanatory footnotes alongside the letters.
