O club do enxeño and Un día a toda présa are two comedies by the British author Frances Burney (1752-1840) that had remained unpublished until the 20th century. Their translation into Galician brings us two dramatic texts which, in the turn of the 18th century to the 19th century, attended to women's writing and colonialism, respectively.
María Jesús Lorenzo Modia is an English Philology professor at UDC and she has published several papers about women in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Carmen María Fernández Rodríguez is an English Philology doctor and a specialist on Burney's work.
