Events
Members of ILLA organized in the years 2000 and 2010 two scientific meetings dedicated to the figure and the work of prof. Ricardo Carvalho Calero, to whom in the current year 2020 the RAG finally decided to dedicate the Día das Letras Galegas.
The scientific meetings were Ricardo Carvalho Calero. Memoria do século (2000) y Ricardo Carvalho Calero. Ciencia, literatura e nación (2010). The first one, organised alongside AS-PG ('Asociación Socio-Pedagóxica Galega', Galician Socio-Pedagogic Association), was coordinated by Teresa López and Francisco Salinas, and ten years after Carlos Biscainho and Xosé Manuel Sánchez Rei were responsible for organising the event.
In a year in which numerous commemorations devoted to the professor from Ferrol will follow, we found convenient to remember the integral approaches to his work promoted by ILLA twenty and ten years ago, respectively.
The symposia, both of great interest, derived into proceedings available at the University of A Coruña institutional repository.
