25th June 2019

Prof. Carlos Biscainho, member of ILLA, collaborates in the monograph Nation, Language and Literature: The Perspective of the Pluricultural Castilian-Catalan-Galician-Basque Context of volume 15 of the journal eHumanista IVITRA, published by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of the University of California Santa Barbara .

The work deals with "Galician dramaturgy of female authorship in the 21st century". In the conclusions, the professor emphasizes that "women signed some of the most innovative proposals of the Galician theatrical scene and placed themselves at the forefront of alternative discourses to those that had been occupying the centrality of the system - including the questioning of its central doxa. Also, they are participating with determination in the debate around the attributes and limits of theatricality, as well as in the dismantling of the symbolic architecture that patriarchy has raised over the body of women."
